921 Inclusion of adults with Intellectual Development Disability throughout the educational system: vision, challenge and practice Heidi Flavian and Adi Ben-Hemo Abstract Employment integration of adults with special needs into society in general and into the education system in particular is a cultural and social challenge. In order for this integration process to be successful, we must suitably adjust the integrating educational setting. In order to do so, we must understand the attitudes of the key figures involved in this process. While the integration of adults with learning, sensory or motor disabilities into the education system has been studied and gradually implemented over the years, this is not the case for adults with intellectual developmental disability (IDD). Nowadays, both in Israel and elsewhere, adults with IDD are offered a variety of training programs for employment and social inclusion, but this does not include training for employment within the education system in which they themselves developed and studied until the age of 21. In this study, for the first time, 75 leading figures in the fields of education and integration in Israeli society were asked about the possibilities of integrating such adults into the education system.
