174 Special Events "Words of Wisdom" – Jury Feedback sessions Feedback sessions of competitors who did not advance to the next stage with Jury members are a significant benefit for the competitors. The Rubinstein Competition is launching a new format of feedback sessions: sessions where we invite the audience to join in and listen to feedback along with the competitors. Just listening to someone other than your teacher can open up new horizons for competitors. We believe that the opportunity for the competitors to meet directly with Jury members is an efficient and useful format. The Jurors strive to provide meaningful and constructive feedback, in a good and positive spirit, and not to criticize per se. Participation in this kind of meeting, held in front of an audience, is voluntary and is subject to the decision of each competitor. Naturally, the Jurors address not only the competitors but also the audience, and this allows the participants in the meeting to learn how the Jurors listen to the pianists. How do they relate to the performance of one pianist relative to another pianists, and what are the differences in approach and method of evaluation between the Jurors themselves? Dates and location of the meetings will be announced during the first and second stages of the competition. The meetings will be in English. Announcing the results of each stage At the end of the last session of each stage and the Jury voting, the names of the competitors who have qualified for the next stage will be announced. The announcements will take place on 20 and 23 March. On 30 March, at the end of the last round of the final stage, with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the Jury will vote and choose the winners of the top prizes. Immediately afterwards, the names of the winners will be announced on the stage of the Bronfman Auditorium. Award ceremony and Winners’ concert The award ceremony will take place the next day, Friday 31 March, at 11:00 a.m. at the Bronfman Auditorium in Tel Aviv. At the end of the ceremony, there will be a concert by the winners with the Israel Camerata Jerusalem conducted by Avner Biron, in which concerti by Mozart and/or Beethoven will be played.
