184 Greetings from the President of the State of Israel for the 18th Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition I am pleased and honored to welcome the participants of the 18th Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition. For many years, the Rubinstein Competition has stood as one of the foremost platforms for promising young pianists. It is widely respected throughout the global piano community and, for good reason, continues to attract exceptional talent and keen international interest. It is a great privilege to host this important musical event every three years here in Israel and in the city of Tel Aviv. This year, the occasion is especially meaningful. Following the unsettling period experienced recently by the State of Israel and its citizens the return of the Competition is far from taken for granted. It stands as a powerful expression of continuity, resilience, and the enduring presence of artistic and creative life—uplifting the spirit, inspiring the mind, and sowing hope for the future. “Words are the language of the mind. Music is the language of the soul. Music is a signal of transcendence,” as Lord Jonathan Sacks so eloquently observed. The brilliant artistry of Arthur Rubinstein was, and remains, a source of revelation. The Competition that bears his name reflects his spirit—celebrating musicality, fostering emerging talent, and honoring exceptional creativity by the competitors. Welcome to Israel! My heartfelt thanks go to the organizers of this prestigious competition, to the distinguished members of the Jury, and, of course, to the competitors themselves. I wish you all great success and a truly memorable and enriching musical experience. Yours, Isaac Herzog President of the State of Israel צילום: אבי אוחיון, לע"מ Greetings
