Rubinstein_2026

180 Greetings Dear competing pianists, honorable judges, friends of the society, and fans of the competition, Welcome to the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition. This year, we proudly mark the 18th edition of the competition, a testament to a long-standing tradition of musical excellence, inspiration, and exceptional talent from around the world. This year's competition is taking place under special circumstances, due to the situation our country is facing. This reality has led to the competition being held in a hybrid format, with the first recitals taking place in Europe. We see this as an expression of our deep commitment to continuity, art, and international connection through music. I would especially like to thank our Artistic Director, Ariel Cohen, for taking the initiative and organizing the competition in this unique format, which was necessary given the circumstances and tight schedule. The distinguished jury will select the six competitors who will advance to the final stage, travel to Israel, and perform chamber music and concertos with the Israel Camerata Jerusalem and the Israel Philharmonic orchestras. These are exciting moments for all of us. I want to thank the Chair of the Society, Mr. Nir Zuk, for his significant contribution and for helping arrange travel for the team, despite the challenges we faced. I wish the competitors great success, the judges a productive and enriching experience, and all participants and the audience enjoyment of the concerts and a truly unique musical experience. Sincerely, Arie Rapoport, Chair of the Board of Directors Arthur Rubinstein International Music Society
