176 Lea (Lizika) Sagy (1935-2025) Lizika Sagy, who passed away at the age of 90, was a well-known and beloved figure in Tel Aviv society, especially in the cultural and artistic spheres. She began her professional career as a cosmetologist and, thanks to her personality, professionalism, and human warmth, became one of the women most closely associated with the world of beauty and aesthetics in Israel. The late Lizika and her husband, Ami Sagy, were deeply involved in philanthropy. Over the years, they donated tens of millions to cultural, medical, and educational institutions. Their quiet yet significant contributions earned them high respect among people in the fields of culture, medicine, and education. They were among the first to join the Board of Trustees of the Arthur Rubinstein International Music Society and frequently participated in the society's events, especially the International Piano Competition. As of the 17th competition, they had donated the prize to the first-place winner. Lisika's love for music was sincere and deep. She frequently attended concerts and opera productions around the world and never missed a production of the Israeli Opera or a concert by the Israel Philharmonic. Only true music lovers would make a point to attend Opera Tosca at Masada every evening for four consecutive evenings. The public appreciation for Lizika was also evident in her passing. Her funeral, held at the Trumpeldor Cemetery in Tel Aviv, was attended by senior officials from the economy, the municipality, and the cultural world. Singers of the Israeli Opera sang arias in her memory. Lizika Sagy was a woman who managed to combine her love for family with a deep commitment to society. She left behind a loving family and a legacy of kindness, generosity, and humanity. In Memoriam Lea (Lizika) Sagy איציק בירן
