167 Special Events Festive Opening Gala With Kevin Chen and Yukine Kuroki, Winners of the 17th Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition (2023) In Search of Lost Time – Arthur Rubinstein’s Last Concerts This Gala concert features works that Rubinstein performed frequently and recorded during the final years of his life. 27 April 2026 at 7:00 pm. Topics will include: the competitors and the quality of their playing, the atmosphere in the audience, competitions in general and the Rubinstein Competition in particular, trends in the world of music and digital media, obligatory works written by Jewish composers from the holocaust period, teaching music and music criticism. The moderators will be: Avigail Arnheim – Founder, Resource Development and Fundraising of the Felicja Blumental Music Center Association. Baruch Askarov – Music critic, Lawyer, Strategic advisor and multidisciplinary lecturer, editor and presenter of music and culture programs at ”Kol Israel” radio. Prof. Eitan Globerson - Pianist and conductor, a lecturer at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, holds a PhD in brain research, a full professor at the Technion, and is engaged in research. Yaron Gottfried – Conductor, composer and pianist, Head of the Ono Music School, Ono Academic College. Prof. Tomer Lev – Pianist and piano teacher at the Buchmann-Mehta school of Music, Tel Aviv University. Irit Rub – Pianist and director of ”Keynote” and ”Sulamot” educational programs of the Israel Philharmonic. Tal Sacharov – Marketing Director, pianist, board member of the Arthur Rubinstein International Music Society. Yossi Schiffmann – Journalist and music critic. Stella Brener - Cultural producer in music education and founder and managing director of the Scherzo International Piano Competition.
