146 Junior Jury Coordinator: Daphna Cohen-Mintz Alma Shapiro, born in 2004 in Jerusalem, began her piano studies at age 5 with Anat Paul and Adela Umansky. She was recognized early as an outstanding musician in national excellence programs. Throughout her development, she participated in advanced piano and chamber music programs, including the Young Pianists Program at the Jerusalem Music Center and initiatives led by Murray Perahia. From 2017 to 2022, she was a member of the David Goldman Chamber Music Program for outstanding young musicians and studied music theory with Dr. Aline Gabbay. Shapiro is currently in her fourth year of a bachelor’s degree in piano performance at the Buchmann– Mehta School of Music at Tel Aviv University, studying with Tomer Lev. She has performed as a soloist with orchestras, given recitals and concerts in Israel and across Europe, and participated in festivals and international masterclasses. Shapiro has won awards in both national and international competitions and regularly receives a scholarship from the America–Israel Cultural Foundation. Junior Jury
